About Kristin

Kristin grew up on Candlewood Lake slalom skiing, wakeboarding and an earlier version of what you would call wake surfing which involved taking an old neptune skurfer unscrewing the bindings (which I'm surprised even held our feet in place) and holding onto a rope behind the boat and using the boat wake as a surfing wave.
Kristin graduated from college on the East Coast and shortly after moved West to San Diego, Califorina where she took her Candlewood Lake skills and tested them on the frigid pacific ocean where she learned how to surf. In 2009 Kristin took up the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding in San Diego. Her Love for Stand Up Paddleboarding grew and she decided to move back to her roots on Candlewood Lake to introduce the wonderful sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) to the people of that love Candlewood as much as she does. "There is something very peaceful and wonderful about the scenery here on Candlewood Lake". Stand Up Paddleboarding is much different than Kayaking or Canoeing because you have a higher view point of visibility when you are standing on a board. You are truly getting a full body work out. You have to keep balance of the board as well as use your core to get the proper reach and pull when you are paddling. The great thing about Stand Up Paddleboarding is that anyone can do it with a little bit of instruction. It is an unbelievable work out and is really great for groups to enjoy time on the lake together.
